A new capability was introduced in the End User Portal that enabled end users to obsolete local license servers and devices from the View Server and View Device pages.
This functionality has now been extended to Cloud Licensing Service (CLS) instances.
The system configuration setting Allow Obsolete Devices/Servers is located under System > Configure > End‑User Portal Setup > Devices Page.
By default, this configuration option is enabled:
End users can obsolete a Cloud License Server directly from the Cloud License Server Details page by selecting Obsolete Server from the Actions menu, as shown in the screenshot below.
The Obsolete Server action provides the same functionality as the Make Obsolete feature in the Producer Portal.
This permission is assigned by default only to system administrator users (part of the Account Permissions - End-User Portal group), who can view and use this action.
End users can now obsolete both local and cloud license servers (CLS) directly from the End User Portal, providing greater self‑service control for administrator users.
