Summary

The Calculated consumption column shown on the Consumed tab when viewing a license record should be 0 when a device has been exempted with the reason "Device role meets exemption rule".

However in a situation where a device has been exempted from consuming a license of type IBM PVU for this reason, and where the device is a virtual machine without a host, the Calculated consumption may be reported as non-0.

Details

This behavior is caused by a defect in the logic that sets the Calculated consumption field in the scenario described above.

This issue does not affect:

• The total consumption calculated for licenses (which is calculated correctly).
• The Calculated consumption value shown for virtual machines that have a known host.
• Licenses that do not have a type of IBM PVU.
