The following error is observed: "Invalid (inconsistent) license key (-8, 544).

Discussion

Error -8,544 indicates a different set of SEEDs information was used to build the license, daemon, and/or application; depending on which parts are involved.

This is commonly caused by changing the seeds information in between versions of FlexNet Publisher used. Please make sure that all the licensing components (license file, vendor-daemon, and application) are built with the same set SEEDs information.

Keeping the SEED values the same as a previous version when upgrading is one of the requirements for backward compatibility.
