To run XSF scan files in Normalize, you need the scan file saved in an input folder on your machine and, at minimum, an 'Exceptions' folder. These steps outline the process for creating and executing a Normalize job using the XSF input files.
- From the Admin Console, click Create Process, select IT Discovery Tool, and then choose HP Universal Discovery (XSF).
- Enter the file path for the input folder you have created and test the connection.
- Select the rule for what you want to happen to the XSF scan file(s) you are normalizing:
• Update: This updates the scan file and creates a post-Normalize scan file in the file path you choose.
• Move: This moves the scan file to a new folder in the specified file path after normalizing.
• Delete: This deletes the scan file from the input folder.
• None: This does not delete or update the scan file. To see the post-Normalize data with this option, check the BDNA_PUBLISH database.
- Click Next, name the Normalize job, save the settings, and then execute the Normalize process.
