This article documents the correct methods for creating a copy of a project in FlexNet Code Insight

Synopsis

Before running a scan, we'd like to create a fresh copy of this project in FlexNet Code Insight (including the entire inventory of files), so that the scan results for the previous versions are preserved going forward. Is there any documentation on how to do this?

Discussion

FlexNet Code Insight 6.12.1 has a number of new REST API's which will allow for projects to be copied if required. Older versions also include an option in the UI to copy a project from the 'My Projects' screen (Please see attached screenshot). Please refer to the Swagger docs for FlexNet Code Insight 6.12.1 for documentation on the 3 new REST API's for performing a project copy which are as follows:

POST /project/copyProjectWithConfiguration
POST /project/customProjectCopy
POST /project/completeProjectCopy
