Symptoms

Firefox fails to load web pages of Spider Operations Manager, Incident or Knowledgebase with the message "A Secure Connection Failed" (ssl_error_weak_server_ephemeral_dh_key).

Cause

Firefox 39 stops loading web pages which are using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange algorithm.

Resolution

Disable the security check in Firefox 39.

To disable the security check follow these steps:

1. Open an empty tab in Firefox
2. Enter about:config in the address bar
3. Click ?I?ll be careful, I promise!?
4. Search for security.ssl3.dhe
5. Double click both entries to set the value to false.
6. Reload the webpage you wanted to visit.
