If your license's online activation failed, you may have proceeded with the offline activation method. In doing this, you can't return to the online activation method. This article will explain how to get back to the online activation method when stuck in the offline activation method.
Solution
- Make sure that any InstallShield/AdminStudio-related programs are closed.
- Open your start menu and type Regedit.
- Right-click Regedit and select Run as Administrator.
- Navigate to the following registry location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstallShield\(AdminStudio, 27.0, 26.0, etc.)
- Change the value of the OfflineTransactionPending key to 0, then close Regedit (alternatively, you can remove the OfflineTransactionPending key).
- Open AdminStudio, and the activation wizard should now be in the online activation method.
