In the Access tab of a report, users assigned the Viewer role may still see the option to Delete the report within the Manage dropdown menu. This behavior is due to permissions inherited from organization-level roles, which override the report-level role settings.

Reason for this behavior

The user has inherited permissions from an org-level role, accessible via:
Menu → Admin → User Management → User Email → Roles Tab

Within the slide-out panel, the user may hold a higher-level role, such as:

Order of role inheritance

• Administer organization – Can perform all actions, including report management.

• Manage organization – Can perform all actions across the FlexeraOne Org.

• Manage custom reports – Can manage all aspects of Custom Reports.

If the user already has the required roles assigned through the Admin menu, they can still perform all actions (such as running or creating reports), even if you don't assign them additional permissions using the report-level access management settings.

Checking inherited access

To verify inherited roles, navigate to the Inherited Access tab, which displays existing higher-level role assignments.

This ensures transparency in permission structures and avoids confusion about user capabilities.
