Check for node affinity that uses scalesetpriority

Review your pod or deployment configuration and look for a node affinity with the key kubernetes.azure.com/scalesetpriority.
Do not use this node affinity when migrating workloads in an AKS Ocean cluster.

Avoid combining spot tolerations and scalesetpriority node affinity

If both a spot toleration and the scalesetpriority node affinity are set, Ocean autoscaling fails. When this happens, the workload cannot migrate and appears with an unable to migrate status.

Review the Ocean cluster log

Open the Flexera console and check the cluster logs. When this issue occurs, a detailed message appears in the log explaining why autoscaling failed.

After you remove the unsupported node affinity, Ocean autoscaling can scale nodes correctly and the workload becomes eligible for migration.
