What does the FLEXlm platform not enabled (-48,7006) error mean and how can it be resolved?

Cause

This error means that the platform that the user is attempting to use is not enabled by their license keys.

The -48 error occurs when the vendor keys have not been enabled for that platform. For example, this could happen if the user is trying to build the Java platform without having purchased it first.

Resolution

The customer will need to purchase license keys to enable the platform that they are trying to build.

This is a general error and can occur with any platform. An error such as this one may also be seen:

-48 LM_BADPLATFORM "Platform not enabled."
