Creating a 'demo' Producer Fails Following the Getting Started Guide

Our parent company is changing, and we need to test swapping out producer identity information in our FNE toolkit artifacts.

However, attempting the "Adding a Publisher and a Publisher Identity", under the Getting started with FNE Setup Exercises: I'm getting the following error:

'''

[default task-61] ERROR (lfs) [ADMN] Publisher keys not valid.

com.flexnet.lfs.webservice.LFSFaultResponse_Exception:LFSError:INVALID_PUBLISHER_KEYS

'''

We have two publishers already defined in our FNO on-Prem instances, but both need to be superseded in the future.

How does one overcome this issue?

Anyone else done this before and had success - with existing publisher identities?

Thanks all

    • This help page describes the process for creating demo publishers: https://docs.revenera.com/fno2023r1_onprem/producer/Content/helplibrary/opsGS_FNE_SetupExAddPubl.htm

      Is this not recommended?

The page seems to be the first step in any publisher's journey in FNE technology adoption - as a demonstration to become familiar with the tools before making key decisions and/or ever shipping anything to a customer.

If there's need for support assistance to complete this step, why doesn't the page mention this, and why supply keys in the content as part of the exercise?

Apologies - I inherited this system; I only know that publisher keys were 'provided' or were already preexisting.

      Thank you in advance.

        Hi @nsheedy ,

Thank you for pointing this out, the "demo" keys are for evaluations and they do expire. The keys in the documentation had expired which is why you ran into issues entering them into FlexNet Operations (I will get this corrected as they are provided by Sales). If for some reason you need valid demo keys, please reach out to your Revenera Account Manager. If you don't know who that is, feel free to contact me at jberthold@revenera.com with your company info (name & location) and I'll put you in touch.

        Best regards,

        Jim
