I want to create a single setup.exe as output of a Basic MSI Project. Is this possible (and how)?

This is possible by changing the release settings.
Go to Media-->Release-->Select Your release
-->In Build Tab-->Select Compression type to -->Compressed
-->In Setup.exe Tab-->Select Setup Launcher to -->Yes.
Build the project to get only setup.exe
