Install Aborts When Run from CD

I have an installer that when run from hard disk or other writable media (memory stick) works great.

When run from CD Rom it immediately aborts. I'm looking at the install script code to see if I can figure out why, but nothing pops out at me.

Has anyone encountered this kind of thing in the past and if yes, how did you resolve it?
