Suite Repair
If you have serveral packages in a Suite but only install some of them, then do a repair from the Suite, it throws the error "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I agree! Now, how do I instruct the Suite not to try to repair uninstalled packages? The Feature Selection Tree is fully populated in the InstallationProgress screen.

Thanks.

  • I tried that and it made no difference.

The SetupSuite.exe file contains only a ISWIBuild.dll file.

Is there any more to installing the hotfix than renaming the old ISWIBuild.dll file and copying the new one to

    C:\Program Files\InstallShield\2012\System

    (typical for 32 bit os)

Do I need to unregister/register anything?

    Thanks

Did you update SetupSuite.exe in the Redist\Language Independent\i386 folder? The zip file attached in the referenced thread (SetupSuiteHotfix.zip) contains two files: ISWiBuild.dll and SetupSuite.exe. Both files need to be updated to apply the fix.
