I need guidance on how to:
Build and configure a vendor daemon specifically for a Linux CLI-based environment.

I am working on setting up a vendor daemon for a 64-bit Linux CLI-based machine using FlexNet Publisher. Currently, I am referring to the fnp_devenv.pdf documentation, but most of the steps seem to be focused on GUI-based environments.

Can I follow the same steps for a CLI-based setup just by converting GUI actions to CLI commands?

Can you please let me know what section you are referring to? As far I know the steps remain same for GUI and CLI based setup.

  • Sure, I'm referring to the sections on First Build of the Production Licensing Toolkit, Configuring the FlexNet Publisher Licensing Toolkit, and Building the Production Licensing Toolkit on UNIX. I wanted to confirm if I can follow the same steps in a CLI environment by using equivalent commands instead of GUI-based actions.

Yes, that should not be a problem. You can follow the same steps.

    • Thank you for your response. I am facing some issues while following the documentation (fnp_devenv.pdf), as it seems more focused on GUI-based environments.

Would you be able to provide any documentation or detailed steps specifically for setting up the vendor daemon in a 64-bit Linux CLI-based environment? Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated.

      Looking forward to your response.
