Our next Major Release of Installshield (2026 R1) will include by default the Microsoft .NET 10 Desktop Runtime prerequiste.
In addition we are adding .net Core 10 custom action support which we are also aiming for the same release.
At the current momement we don't have a date for when this release will be available.
I am using InstallShield 2026 R1. The .NET 10.0 Desktop Runtime 10.0.5 (x64) prerequisite works, but only if there is no newer version of .NET on the system. I curently have version 10.0.12 installed. Attempting to install version 10.0.5 fails with an error. This happens because your prerequisite looks for "PresentationFramework.dll" specifically inside the "10.0.5" folder, which does not exists when a newer version of .NET is already present on the system. An older version of .NET cannot be installed, so the "10.0.5" folder will never be created.
